Screen door effect is very hard to detect too. The resolution isn't quite perfect, but its clear and text is easily readable now. I could happily watch a movie on my index where I wouldn't do that on the vive unless I had to. The resolution increase on the vive makes it pretty much as good as a regular 1080p monitor in terms of quality, whereas the vive felt like the resolution was always a massive smeary compromise for the sake of immersion. Nobody in their right mind would go "Somebody's asking where a common, ease of use feature is, and defending why they need it? God, what a baby".Ĭonsiderably better (I have both). You are the only person in this entire thread who doesn't agree this would be a nice feature to have. I think I have a right to make a 5 second reddit post and a few replies because Valve pulled an oopsy. One more time, for those in the back - Valve had this setting, but for some reason hid or remove it. Valve used to include this setting, but disabled it. People payed 600-800$ for something with no off button Sure, it'll still take only a minute or two to fish out the connection and break it, but let's go over the facts one more time, and maybe it'll encourage you to stop being a dick about it. Maybe the way their room is set up, they have their actual VR connection even farther. Some people have their computers farther away, perhaps under their desk, perhaps somewhere out of reach entirely. Keeping in mind how absolutely lacking in empathy you must have to not understand that everybody's setup is different. A reddit post with 65 upvotes begs to differ.
